Every firm has a sweet spot. This is ours: the practice owners who get the most out of The Treatment Plan, and who we enjoy working with most. There are exceptions, and we take them. But if most of this page sounds like you, the call is going to be a good one.
Startups included. We like the first three years. It's when the entity gets chosen, the owner comp gets set, and the habits form that the practice runs on for a decade. A good plan compounds longest when it starts early. Startup pricing exists for exactly this.
If you're closing on a practice, come before the closing, not after. The structure decisions happen at the table.
That's where the planning starts to move real money: retirement plan design, equipment timing, the building, owner comp. Under it the plan still works, the decisions are just smaller, and we'd rather see you spend on growth first and come back when the numbers are bigger.
Multi-location and $2.5M-plus practices are a different conversation and we build those plans by hand.
The financials are a conversation, not a PDF. If you want to know why overhead moved three points, what your hygiene department actually nets, and whether the associate is paying for herself, you'll like it here. If you want the return filed and nothing else, there are cheaper firms and we'll name one.
Second location, associate buy-in, buying the building, a DSO offer you're not sure about. Those are the decisions where a CPA earns the fee, and we'd rather be in the room for them than hear about them in April.
Dentists who hire a practice coach, go to the conferences, and read the books tend to want the same level of sophistication from their accountant. They ask better questions and they act on the answers. We do our best work for them.
The plan only works if the information moves. Our happiest clients reply within a day or two, show up to the three planning calls, and treat the relationship like one. We work hard all day. We'd rather do it with people we like.
Some CPAs do what they're told. Some tell you what to do and expect you to do it. Neither one is us.
We bring the tax, the numbers, and what we've seen work in a few hundred dental practices. You bring the practice, the patients, and what you actually want your life to look like. We lay out the options, talk through the trade-offs, and then you decide, with the full picture in front of you. Nobody on either side of the table just nods.
Nine questions give you the monthly number before you book. Twenty minutes on the phone tells us both whether this is a fit. Either way you'll leave knowing where you stand.
